Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Dino Venturino, trading as Seerix, who runs Lumi (“we”, “us”). They cover your use of the journal. By making an account or starting a subscription you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the journal.
We have tried to write them plainly. If anything is unclear, write to [CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS] and we will explain.
1. Who this agreement is with
The journal is run by Dino Venturino, trading as Seerix, an individual based in the Netherlands.
You must be at least 16 years old to use it. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these, or for buying online on your own, you must be that age, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data. Please read it alongside these terms.
2. What the journal is
Lumi is a hosted journal for dreams and visions. You write entries. The journal turns them into pictures. It also sets your writing beside readings worked out from your birth details and the calendar: a natal chart, numerology, biorhythms, the moon, the Chinese calendar and others.
It runs in a web browser and can be added to a phone's home screen. Most of it needs an internet connection.
The journal is for your own personal use.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the journal. Give an email address you can read, because it is how you reset your password and how we reach you about your account.
- Choose a password of at least 10 characters that you use nowhere else, and keep it to yourself.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account. If you think someone else has got into it, reset your password straight away, and tell us. Resetting signs every device out of your account, the other person's included, and the new password is the only one that lets anyone back in. If you cannot reset it, tell us anyway.
- Sign out when you finish on a device other people use. A sign-in otherwise lasts up to 90 days on each device.
4. Subscription, free trial and renewal
The journal is sold as one subscription, at US$12 a month. Sales tax or VAT may be added, depending on where you live.
It is sold through Gumroad. Gumroad is the merchant of record: it takes your payment, sends your receipt, and works out, collects and pays any sales tax or VAT. Your card details go to Gumroad and never reach us. Gumroad's own terms and privacy policy apply to the purchase.
Free trial
A new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card to start it, but you are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you do not, your first monthly payment is taken when the trial ends.
Renewal
After that your subscription renews every month, and the payment is taken automatically, until you cancel.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. You do it through Gumroad: use the link in the receipt or renewal email Gumroad sent you, or your Gumroad library. Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep full use of the journal until the end of the period you have already paid for.
If your subscription ends
Your journal is not deleted. You can still sign in and read everything you wrote and every picture, and you can export it or delete it. You cannot add new entries or generate new pictures until you subscribe again.
Price changes
If the price changes, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. If you do not want to pay it, cancel before your next renewal.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled through Gumroad, because Gumroad took the payment. To ask for one, reply to your Gumroad receipt or write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS].
[REFUND POLICY]
None of this takes away a right to cancel, or to a refund, that the law where you live gives you.
6. Pictures and your monthly allowance
Your subscription includes 120 generated pictures a month.
A month here is a calendar month in UTC, starting at midnight UTC on the first day. A picture counts once it has been given to you and a paid service was used to make it: one of the paid image models, or the steps that write the description of your note and check the picture afterwards, which are paid too. A picture can count even when the free image model ends up drawing it, if those steps ran for it. A picture that fails does not count, and if it fails after those paid steps had already run we still give it back to you, ten times in a month; after that a picture that fails in that way counts, because the paid steps were paid for all the same. When a picture is checked and drawn again because it missed something in your description, the second drawing counts as well when a paid image model draws it.
When you have used your allowance the journal does not stop. It goes on drawing your pictures with a simpler free image model, which is usually less detailed, until the allowance starts again on the first of the next month, and it tells you when it does. For those pictures it does not run the steps that write the description or check the picture. If the free model is not answering, no picture can be drawn until it is, or until the allowance starts again. Everything else carries on: you can still write, read your journal, and add your own pictures to an entry.
The pictures are made by outside services, and now and then one cannot be made: the service may be busy, or may refuse a description. You can ask the journal to try again.
7. Using the journal fairly
Please do not:
- use the journal to break the law, or to store or generate anything illegal;
- try to generate sexual pictures of anyone under 18, or pictures meant to harass, defame or deceive people about a real person;
- try to get into someone else's account or journal, or to get around sign-in, the subscription or the picture allowance;
- probe, overload or disrupt the journal, or drive it with scripts or bots;
- resell the journal, or use it to provide a service to other people.
The services that draw the pictures have their own rules about what they will draw, and may refuse a description.
We may suspend or close an account that is used in these ways. See “Ending your account” below.
8. What you write is yours
What you write is yours. So are the pictures and recordings you add from your own device. We do not claim to own any of it.
To run the journal for you, we need your permission to do a few things with it: to store it, to keep backup copies, to show it back to you on your devices, and to send the text of an entry to the services that turn it into a picture. You give us that permission, for those purposes only, for as long as the content is in your account. It ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backup copies that expire on their own (the Privacy Policy says how long that takes).
We do not publish your journal, show it to other customers or use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models ourselves.
The services that turn an entry into a picture are run by other companies. They handle the text they receive under their own terms, not ours, and those terms decide whether they may keep it or use it to improve their models. The Privacy Policy names each of them and says what it receives.
You are responsible for what you write and upload. Do not add anything you have no right to use.
9. Generated pictures
The pictures are made by third-party AI models, run by other companies, from a description based on your words. The Privacy Policy names those companies and says what each one receives.
That has consequences worth knowing:
- A picture may be inaccurate, odd, or not what you imagined, and now and then one may be unsettling. The models do not understand your dream. They draw from a description.
- Someone who writes something similar may get a similar picture. Generated pictures are not unique to you.
- In many countries a picture made by an AI model may not be protected by copyright at all. We claim no rights in the pictures made for you, and as far as we are concerned you may use them as you like. We cannot promise that you own them, or that nobody else may use a similar one.
- We cannot promise that a generated picture does not resemble a real person or someone else's work. If you publish or sell one, that is your decision and your responsibility.
Which models we use may change over time.
10. Readings are for reflection
The journal shows readings drawn from astrology, numerology, biorhythms, the Chinese calendar, the moon and the Schumann resonance, and it scores and summarises your day from them. They are offered for reflection and entertainment.
They are not medical, psychological, financial, legal or any other kind of professional advice, and they are not predictions to rely on. Nothing in the journal diagnoses or treats anything. Do not use a reading to decide something about your health, your money, your relationships or your safety.
11. Availability and changes to the journal
We work to keep the journal running and your writing safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of faults. It depends on other companies' services, which sometimes fail, and it will sometimes be down for maintenance.
We may add, change or remove features. If we plan to remove something you are likely to rely on, we will tell you beforehand, and you can cancel.
Keep your own copy of anything you could not bear to lose. You can export your journal from the app at any time. Your vision board is kept only in your browser and is not in the export, so keep a copy of it too: its “save as image” button does that.
12. Ending your account
You can stop at any time. Delete your account from the app's account settings, or write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS] and we will delete it for you. Deleting your account deletes your journal for good. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed and when.
Cancelling your subscription and deleting your account are separate steps: the first stops the payments, the second removes your data. If you delete your account while a subscription is running, cancel the subscription with Gumroad as well, so that you are not charged again. The account screen reminds you of this, and links to Gumroad, before you confirm.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Unless the law or someone's safety prevents it, we will tell you why and give you the chance to export your journal first.
If we ever close the journal altogether, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email so that you can export your journal, and you will not be charged for any time after it closes.
13. Our responsibility to you
We will provide the journal with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do that, or break these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result.
We are not responsible for:
- loss that was not a foreseeable result of our failure;
- loss caused by things outside our reasonable control, including a failure at one of the outside services the journal depends on;
- decisions you make on the strength of a reading or a picture;
- business losses, because the journal is for personal use.
Apart from what the next paragraph covers, the most we will owe you for everything connected with the journal is the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, liability for fraud, and the rights that the consumer protection law of your country gives you.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the journal changes or the law does. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
If a change affects what you pay, what you get or your rights, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can cancel before then. If you carry on using the journal afterwards, the new terms apply.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing here takes that away.
If you have a complaint, please write to us first. Most things can be sorted out that way.
If a court finds that part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
